Getting to Ardgour and the Surrounding Areas
To get to Ardgour and surrounding areas, the most common and convenient method is via the Corran Ferry, which crosses Loch Linnhe from Nether Lochaber, just south of Fort William. Alternatively, scenic drives through the peninsula offer breathtaking landscapes.
BY FERRY
The Corran Ferry runs at regular 30 minute intervals between Nether Lochaber (south of Fort William) and Ardgour. The crossing takes less than 5 minutes and operates from 6.30am (8.30am on Sundays) and 9.30pm all year round. Full details are here and you can keep up to date with sailings on the Twitter feed.
By Road:
From the North (Fort William):
Take the A82 south, and after about 2 miles, turn left onto the road leading to the Corran Ferry.
From the South (Glen Coe):
Head north on the A82. About 2 miles after Onich, a road to the left leads to the Corran Ferry.
If the Ferry is not running:
Follow the A82 north to Fort William, then take the A830 to Mallaig. From there, follow signs for Strontian and the A861.
