Community Supper and AGM

Date: Wednesday 13th May 2026
Time: 7.00pm (Free community supper from 6.30pm)
Location: Ardgour Memorial Hall

The Annual General Meeting of the Ardgour Glensanda Development Trust will take place on Wednesday 13th May 2026 at Ardgour Memorial Hall. Members and residents are warmly invited to attend.

This year’s AGM will provide an opportunity to hear updates on ongoing community projects, ask questions, and help shape future priorities. Alongside the formal meeting, there will be time to view and discuss proposals for the new Recreation Area and MUGA, as well as receive an update on the proposed housing development at Clovullin.

Free Community Supper

A free hot meal will be served from 6.30pm, continuing the tradition of combining the AGM with a relaxed community gathering before the meeting begins.

Board Updates

We extend our sincere thanks to Elizabeth Carmichael and Pete White, who are stepping down from the Board after many years of dedicated service to the Trust and the wider community.

AGDT is currently looking to welcome new Trustees to support ongoing work, including a Treasurer role (with day-to-day bookkeeping support already in place).

Get Involved

If you are interested in becoming a Trustee or finding out more about the work of the Trust, please get in touch or speak to a current Board member. We would be delighted to hear from you.

All members and residents are encouraged to attend, take part in the discussion, and contribute to the future of the community.

Gaelic Geotour & Community Afternoon

A special afternoon celebrating Gaelic, culture and heritage is coming to Ardgour Hall on Saturday 21st February (2 to 4.30pm).

A brand-new Gaelic version of the Ardgour Geotourist audio walking trail is almost ready to launch, sitting alongside the existing English version.

Visitors will have the chance to preview the tour online, or even take a wander outdoors if the mood takes you. Ardgour resident Kendra Turnbull of UHI’s Centre for Recreation and Tourism Research will be there to explain the original project and its impact.

There will also be an open conversation about culture and heritage in Ardgour - what matters most, and what people would like to see next.

The highlight of the afternoon will be Niall Turnbull creating a Gaelic version of the horseshoe sign at the village hall at his mobile forge. Those attending will be invited to take a turn shaping a letter of “Talla Bhaile Àird Ghobhar”.

The first half of the session will feature a lively round of ‘Who am I?’, a game that’s already a big hit with his AHS pupils.

With two further sessions still to come in March and April, now is the time to get started! Open to all Gaelic levels, including novices!
