Morvern, Ardgour and Strontian - Church of Scotland are inviting the community to a Harvest Supper at Treslaig Village Hall on Friday 24th October.

Arrive from 6pm, with supper served at 6.30pm. There’s no set charge, but donations are welcome.

Ardgour Amateur Drama Club invite you to their annual planning meeting on Tuesday 21st October at 7.30pm in Ardgour Memorial Hall.

They are looking for anyone interested in getting involved with their comedy sketches for the March performances, and new members are always welcome. All ages can join in.

Cearcall Còmhraidh Àird Ghobhar – Gaelic Conversation Circle

This month’s gathering will be led by Eilidh Cameron-Sykes, who brings a wealth of knowledge about local history, language and culture. Eilidh’s family roots run deep in Ballachulish, and she’s currently involved with the Glencoe Museum and other heritage projects – as well as leading another Gaelic circle in Cille Chuimein (Fort Augustus).

Our October session will include:
- Conversation practice on the theme of travel
- A deep dive into trees and their connections with Gaelic and the Gaels

We’ll be indoors this time, in the cosy kirk session room beside the brewery, with tea and coffee as before.

Everyone’s welcome, whether you’re fluent, learning, or just curious!

Book lovers are invited to join the Lochside Reading Group at Treslaig Hall on the first Monday of each month, 7–8.30pm.

Enjoy a relaxed discussion on the monthly book choice, good company, and light refreshments, all for £5.

Ainsley Hamill in Concert at Ardgour Village Hall

Scottish singer Ainsley Hamill brings you vivid Scottish stories from oldest traditions to contemporary experience with new album Fable.

Treslaig Village Hall is hosting a Macmillan Coffee Morning on Friday 26th September, 10am to 1pm.

Come along for a cuppa, cake, quiz and tombola while supporting an amazing cause. Every slice shared helps raise vital funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

If anyone is able to bake for the event or donate items for the tombola, contributions would be very gratefully received on the day.

September Ardgour Gaelic Conversation Circle / Cearcall-Comhraidh Àird Ghobhar

The first Gaelic Conversation Circle of the season is nearly here!

Saturday 21st September, 3pm, Ardgour Ales

This month’s guest is Wilma Kennedy - Glasgow-born Mòd Gold Medallist, actress and now Gaelic-medium teacher. She’ll be sharing the magic of traditional waulking songs, complete with unrolling her Harris Tweed, for everyone to join in.

Come along for language, song and a warm Gaelic welcome.

All levels welcome, from beginners to fluent speakers.

Thursday 18th September at 7pm in Ardgour Memorial Hall, the community will come together to look at draft designs for a new Multi-Use Sports Area.

We want to install equipment and a playing surface for all ages, but we need your input before funding applications can go ahead.

Please come along and help shape the next steps for this exciting project!

Ardgour Church are organising a fun Beach Play session at Sallachan Beach on Monday 18th August from 10.30am to 12.30pm.

The plan is to build a massive sandcastle, so bring your buckets, spades and plenty of imagination!

Snacks will be provided, but please bring a water bottle, suncream and suitable clothing. Young people should come with a responsible adult.

Weather permitting, there may also be a chance to try canoeing or paddleboarding. If you’d like to take part, bring appropriate clothing and a buoyancy aid if you have one.
