Corran Ferry Infrastructure Public Meeting
Corran Ferry Infrastructure – Community Liaison Meetings
Following the first meeting, it was agreed that Community Liaison Meetings will now take place on the third Wednesday of each month for the foreseeable future.
Meetings will alternate between Ardgour and Nether Lochaber, although residents are welcome to attend whichever location is most convenient.
The next meeting will take place in Ardgour Memorial Hall on Wednesday 18th March.

Community Winter Supper Treslaig
Another Winter Supper is coming up, and everyone is warmly invited to join us on Monday 16th February from 5.30pm at Treslaig Village Hall.
Ardgour Ales will be serving up some delicious grub this week, the menu will be shared on social media at the weekend!

Ardgour Gaelic Conversation Circle / Cearcall-Comhraidh Àird Ghobhar
A reminder that the Ardgour Gaelic Conversation Circle returns tomorrow, Sunday 15th March at 3pm.
This session will be led by Aonghas MacKay and his son Alasdair. Aonghas is originally from Tolsta in Lewis and now lives in Acharacle, where he is one of the Gaelic teachers at Ardnamurchan High School.
Alasdair, currently a pupil at AHS, is also a member of the band Sealladh, formed at the school and winners of the Battle of the Bands at Mòd Lochaber 2025.
We’re looking forward to an afternoon of conversation, stories and perhaps even a song or two along the way.
As always, all levels of Gaelic are very welcome, including complete beginners.

Miguel Girão live concert
Ardgour Old Telford Kirk plays host to an intimate, unplugged concert with award-winning guitarist Miguel Girão on Friday 27th February, 7pm.
Described as one of the most technically gifted and expressive guitarists in Scotland, Miguel blends Scottish traditional music with influences from classical, jazz and contemporary styles to create a sound that is both rich and distinctive.
Tickets are available online or in person at Ardgour Ales. All profits support church funds, with timings planned around the Corran Ferry.
A special evening of music in a truly atmospheric setting.

Gaelic Geotour & Community Afternoon
A special afternoon celebrating Gaelic, culture and heritage is coming to Ardgour Hall on Saturday 21st February (2 to 4.30pm).
A brand-new Gaelic version of the Ardgour Geotourist audio walking trail is almost ready to launch, sitting alongside the existing English version.
Visitors will have the chance to preview the tour online, or even take a wander outdoors if the mood takes you. Ardgour resident Kendra Turnbull of UHI’s Centre for Recreation and Tourism Research will be there to explain the original project and its impact.
There will also be an open conversation about culture and heritage in Ardgour - what matters most, and what people would like to see next.
The highlight of the afternoon will be Niall Turnbull creating a Gaelic version of the horseshoe sign at the village hall at his mobile forge. Those attending will be invited to take a turn shaping a letter of “Talla Bhaile Àird Ghobhar”.
An afternoon of language, craftsmanship and community spirit…all welcome!

Gaelic Conversation Circle
The Gaelic Conversation Circle returns this Sunday (15th February) at 3pm with a special guest from right here in Ardgour! Unless the weather takes a turn for the better, we will be in the kirk session room at the church beside Ardgour Ales.
Ardgour resident John MacInnes, originally from Eriskay and part of the Gaelic team at Ardnamurchan High School, will be leading the session. John will share stories from the places that have shaped his life: Eriskay, Perth, Aberdeen and of course, Ardgour.
The first half of the session will feature a lively round of ‘Who am I?’, a game that’s already a big hit with his AHS pupils.
With two further sessions still to come in March and April, now is the time to get started! Open to all Gaelic levels, including novices!

This week’s meal is being provided by Conaglen Estate, with a comforting menu including mince and tatties (gf, df), chicken and bacon pie, and a vegetarian mushroom filo strudel. For dessert, there will be chocolate cherry mousse (gf), cheesecake with berry compote, and sticky orange and pistachio cake (gf, df).

Ardgour and Lochside Winter Suppers are continuing through January, February, and March. These free community meals have been a great opportunity to come together over good food and conversation.
The next Winter Supper is on Monday 2nd February, with food served at 5.30pm at Ardgour Inn.
What’s on the menu:
A choice of: Balti-style chicken curry served with basmati rice, a hearty sausage casserole with mash and vegetables and a vegetarian lasagne with garlic bread (gf). Dessert will be chocolate brownie (gf) or raspberry roulade.

Ardgour and Lochside Winter Suppers are continuing through January, February, and March. These free community meals have been a great opportunity to come together over good food and conversation.
The next Winter Supper is on Monday 26th January, from 5 to 8pm at Ardgour Memorial Hall, with food provided by Ardgour Ales, and served at 5.30pm. This is a Burns Supper - expect a piper, and poetry! .
Burns Supper, Treslaig
Don't miss out on a Burns Night Supper on Saturday 24th January, at Treslaig Village Hall!
Guests are welcome from 6.30pm for a 7pm start for an evening celebrating the life and work of Robert Burns, with a traditional Burns Night supper and plenty of good company. This is an over 18s event, with a minimum donation of £10 per person, and bring your own alcohol.

Ardgour Housing Project Update
A community meeting is taking place on Thursday 22nd January at 7pm at Ardgour Memorial Hall to share the latest update on the Ardgour Housing Project.
Come along to see the emerging proposals for housing at Clovullin, hear from the architects, ask questions, and help shape the next stage of the project.

On Monday 19th January, our next Community Winter Supper takes place at Ardgour Memorial Hall, with food served at 5.30pm.
This supper’s menu is being prepared by NomadCafe, with desserts by Terri McGregor. Expect comforting, flavour-packed dishes including chicken tikka masala with pilau rice, cauliflower saag aloo, naan breads and bhajis, followed by a choice of mango jelly, lemon drizzle cake or mixed berry puff pastry tarts.

Winter Supper, tomorrow at Ardgour Memorial Hall!
Join us tomorrow (Monday 12th) at 5.30pm for a warming Winter Supper using local produce from Conaglen Estate. On the menu you’ll find venison chilli with rice, a vegetable and bean chilli with rice, and a comforting macaroni cheese. Dessert lovers are well catered for too, with sticky toffee pudding, tiramisu, and pavlova on offer.
After supper, settle in for a community quiz with resident quizmaster Kevin!

Our first community supper of the winter is tonight at the Ardgour Inn from 5.30pm. If you know of someone who might need a lift please get in touch and we will try and arrange transport or help out if you can.
Menu details:
Beef Stew with Mash and Veg or
Wholetail Breaded Scampi with Chips and Peas
There will be a limited number of Vegan options which will be Chickpea and Five Bean Curry with Rice.
Dessert option will be a choice of Lemon Tart or Chocolate Brownie, both served with Vanilla ice cream.
The brownie and the beef stew are gluten free

Hogmanay at Treslaig Village Hall
The Treslaig Hall Committee is inviting the community to welcome in the New Year together at Treslaig Village Hall on Wednesday 31 December, from 8pm till late. Expect a lively Hogmanay ceilidh with singalong and dancing to the hall’s own band, DNA Riot. Please bring a plate and your own alcohol. A minimum donation of £5 per person applies. All are welcome for a fun and friendly night to see in the New Year!

Carols in Treslaig Hall take place on Monday 22 December at 7pm. Everyone is warmly invited to come along and sing some favourite carols around the Christmas tree, followed by mulled wine, mince pies, tea and shortbread.

Gaelic Conversation Circle
Ross Christie, an inspiring outdoor pursuits and language learning leader from Oban will be with us on Sunday 14th December for a bit of a Christmassy Cearcall. And unless we find ourselves in truly unseasonal weather, we'll meet next door to the brewery in the Telford church's meeting room at 3pm.
Our buddy chat will focus on what we like (or don't like!) to do for Christmas, traditions, family must-haves etc etc. And Ross will then be holding a fun bilingual quiz which should be excellent craic! Prizes still to be determined.
