A special afternoon celebrating Gaelic, culture and heritage is coming to Ardgour Hall on Saturday 21st February (2 to 4.30pm).
A brand-new Gaelic version of the Ardgour Geotourist audio walking trail is almost ready to launch, sitting alongside the existing English version.
Visitors will have the chance to preview the tour online, or even take a wander outdoors if the mood takes you. Ardgour resident Kendra Turnbull of UHI’s Centre for Recreation and Tourism Research will be there to explain the original project and its impact.
There will also be an open conversation about culture and heritage in Ardgour - what matters most, and what people would like to see next.
The highlight of the afternoon will be Niall Turnbull creating a Gaelic version of the horseshoe sign at the village hall at his mobile forge. Those attending will be invited to take a turn shaping a letter of “Talla Bhaile Àird Ghobhar”.
An afternoon of language, craftsmanship and community spirit…all welcome!
